Document and rank the order in which you'll use them, as well as the ones you will not use at all.Identify if they touch other areas such as tax or employment law. Analyze each option and outline the potential risks and costs to the company, employee and client (if applicable).An example of this may be the different ways you can obtain a work permit for an employee in a country your company does not have a presence or when an employee has a personal request to move to another location. Identify the types of approaches the company will take in a situation and when you might use them.Remember, if you do it once, it is precedence setting! However, as you grow, you need to think about scale and consistency to avoid custom approaches for each case which may actually slow down the business and cause inconsistencies in your process and employee experiences. For example, during a start-up stage, you may need to quickly deploy employees so there could be more customization and nimbleness. Having a good understanding of these factors will have an impact on your approach.
